I didn’t get into …And Out Come The Wolves until 1999. Pop-punk had come to shape my entire persona & I caught the film SLC Punk! on television. That movie sparked my first identity crisis: questioning what was ‘tRuE pUnK’ & if I had been a poser all along. Bouncing around AOL chatrooms to investigate, I was exposed to Rancid. From the fashion to the gravelly vocals, they felt authentic. The band had turned down million dollar deals (including a nude photo of Madonna) to release independently. Depending on my mood, I might label this the pop-punk GOAT album.
