He Is Legend’s first release, 90125 EP, took a sharp decline in popularity with me. I sought it out after hearing their full length debut, I Am Hollywood. The EP delivered sonically, sounding similar to the debut. The 8 tracks felt like cut B-sides to me, an appetite suppressor until the next release.
Then the band took a hard turn into southern rock with their Suck Out The Poison album. The B-sides didn’t fill me anymore, I wanted more of this new sound. One track that did end up on my playlists frequently though is Either They Decorated For Christmas Early Or They’re All Dead. I think it might be the first mention of the Gardner character—that’s a rabbit hole lore post for another day though.
